Marvel Studios Drops Three of its Marketing Executives

Marvel Studios has dropped three of its marketing executives in what insiders are characterizing as a restructuring by the Walt Disney Co., the studio's new owner. While Marvel's two 2011 releases, Thor and Captain America: The First Avengers were distributed by Paramount, Disney is taking over the marketing and distribution of future Marvel titles, beginning with The Avengers, which is set for release May 4. The pink-slipped executives are Dana Precious, executive vice president for worldwide marketing, marketing vp Jeffrey Stewart and marketing manager Jodi Miller. Disney referred calls on the matter to Marvel, whose representatives decline to comment. Related Topics Avengers Paramount Pictures The Walt Disney Company Marvel Entertainment Thor Captain America
