Ryan Gosling Gets A Little Dirty In New 'Drive' Clips

"Drive" has been generating a ton of interest lately, and a recently released trio of clips is solidifying that interest even more. In terms of casting, I'm pretty sure the line-up of Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks and Ron Perlman is all the awards-season candy the critics can take. And all of the stars of "Drive" look to be on their A-game, if these clips and the response to the movie so far is any judge. "Drive" follows Gosling's character Driver, a stunt driver for movies who moonlights as a getaway driver for armed heists by night. Despite his loner tendencies, Driver ends up falling in love with his new neighbor Irene, played by Carey Mulligan. But then her ex-convict husband Standard, played by Oscar Isaac, returns, and Driver gets dragged into the dangerous life she escaped from. Driver takes part in a heist to try to come up with enough money to pay Standard the money Irene and her son owe him, but that plan (which somehow involves "Mad Men" star Christina Hendricks) spins out of control. Suddenly Driver needs to switch from the defensive to the offensive to save the girl he loves. Perlman and Albert Brooks play criminals who are trying to get Driver after his heist goes awry, and it looks like Cranston will be playing Driver's daytime boss. But the big draw to "Drive" is definitely Ryan Gosling, who is having an incredible year following a fantastic 2010. Judging by what I've heard of "Drive" so far, it sounds like Gosling is even closer to getting that well-deserved Oscar that keeps slipping through his fingers.
